The legacy comes to life in a dynamic and entertaining way with the upcoming release of 'Ship Away!', a new board game that invites players to traverse the historic journey of the Windrush Generation. This innovative game promises fast-paced fun intertwined with intriguing trivia, offering players an engaging experience while learning about this significant period in history.

Drawing inspiration from classic games like 'Ludo' and 'Snakes and Ladders', 'Ship Away !''s appeal is its simplicity of gameplay, making it accessible to players of all ages. The title itself evokes the poignant imagery of a ship departing from the Caribbean, carrying individuals seeking new opportunities and a better life in Britain, often referred to as 'the Mother Country'.

'Ship Away !' would make an ideal Christmas or birthday present, and can be played throughout the year.

The game features captivating images and narratives of influential Windrush Generation figures, including:

Evelyn Wauchope: renowned for her daring journey as a stowaway aboard the Empire Windrush.

Euton Christian: a multi-faceted individual who served in the Royal Air Force, excelled as a cricketer, and played a pivotal role in advocating for racial equality as a founding member of the Manchester Council for Community Relations.

Mona Baptiste: hailing from Trinidad and Tobago, Mona Baptiste's remarkable journey saw her rise to prominence as a singer and entertainer in the UK where she shared the stage with luminaries such as Tony Hancock.

Sam King: a trailblazer who made history as the first Black Mayor of the London Borough of Southwark. He co-founded the Windrush Foundation in 1995, leaving an indelible mark on British society.

'Ship Away !' also invites players to commemorate Windrush Day, observed annually on 22 June, by engaging in spirited gameplay with friends and family.
